The main expected outcome of the "Korea-EU Cooperation Forum on ICT" is the identification and development of potential cooperation projects in areas of mutual and strategic interest. The European Commission and the Ministry of Knowledge Economy proposed a list of such areas, i.e. of ICT research topics to be addressed through thematic sessions such as:

• Future & Emerging Technology: Any ICT for the future

• u-Computing & Robot: RFID, WSN, u-Health, u-Learning, Intelligent Robot, ...

• Broadcasting Technology: IPTV, DMB, Communication Technologies, ..

• Future Network: IPv6, TEIN, any network technologies for future

• Convergence Technology: IT + BT , IT + NT, ....

• Embedded System / Open Source Software: Embedded software and system, infrastructure, OSS platform, methodology…

• Microsystems

• Secure Communication Service: Any of security services including inclusion, cipher code, network security…

• Online Contents / Gaming: Media contents, metaverse, personal media…

However, there will be an open theme session, so that European and Korean organisations willing to address a different research topic (not covered by the topics listed above) can have the opportunity, if selected through the Call for Papers process, to present their contributions during the parallel sessions as well.
